Maybe it is the fact that it is FINALLY starting to warm up around here and feel a bit like summer, or the fact that Ty was home all weekend and we didn't have a million things going on, but Sunday was one of those days that just feels...perfect?
Woke up early (not our choice, Em is an early riser) to the sun shining in through the windows and I knew without even going outside that it was going to be a beautiful day.
After church we took the kids out for a hike. We figured it would be crowded since it was such a gorgeous day but we managed to find a trail that had very few people on it so we got to go at our own pace and stop and point things out to Em along the way. We even encountered a few horseback riders and they stopped to let us pet the horse. The kids loved it! To top it off they both went right down for naps as soon as we got home and so we got to watch a whole movie all the way through with no interruptions. We ended the day with a bbq at my Mom's sitting on their deck. It makes me wish everyday could be Sunday. =)
