Easter 2011 (Part 1)

We had so much fun getting ready for Easter this year, now that it has arrived I am a little sad.

We made decolations (Emily's word).

We dyed easter eggs. Em got to do this with G.G. and again with Mommy, Daddy, and Troy.

The girls painted their egg hunting baskets at Grandma's house.

But MY favorite part was trying to copy Kim's famous sugar cookie recipe and then decolating them with the kids. Ok, honestly decorating with my children was more of an event than I had planned. Troy only wanted to eat the frosting and as soon as it was gone he would EH! Eh! Ehhhh! Until I gave him more. Em did great but she kept needing to lick her fingers and then the frosting knife and then the cookie itself....so there are a few cookies only she will be eating. Hmmm, maybe she planned that. Either way they turned out great, and we made a few memories too!

Ta Da! 

Now we are off to eat, eat some more, and then have our egg hunt in the snow! Oh Colorado and your crazy weather. Summer dresses and winter coats. What are you going to do??
