For Christmas my Aunt and Uncle got us a membership to the zoo which works out perfectly with little ones since they only make it a few hours and then we have to leave. We decided to take advantage of that and spend the morning at the zoo. We thought we might be the only ones there since there was snow on the ground and it was actually snowing when we left, but we just bundled up and hoped for sun.
Which we got! Emily is starting to be really interested in the animals and definitely has her favorites. She doesn't sop talking all the way to the zoo and then as soon as we get there she is silent. Nothing. Not a word. She sits in her storller looking like we are forcing her to be there.
The thing is she LOVES the zoo. She talks about feeding the giraffes.
But she won't do it herself. She likes to see the Meer Cats.
She keeps asking to feed the Otters, but so far no such luck.
The lions are a big hit.
We like to see the porcupine who manages to cram his big body onto a little tiny branch in this tree.
The peacock always makes an appearance as we are heading up the hill.
But our favorite animal to see is the mountain lions. I went a little crazy snapping shots of these beautiful animals.
Also, oddly enough, she is a bit obsessed with the... turkeys?
Troy had a blast too!
It is always a fun time hanging out at our little zoo!
