Saturday we rode the train in Canon City. It is about two hours long and runs under the Royal Gorge Bridge. We left the Springs at about 10:30am and Emily slept the whole hour and 1/2 that we drove. It was a good thing too because she was awake the whole time we were on the train. She loved the sounds of the train whistle and even got one as a memento to remember her first train ride. Emily stood on her seat looking out the window for most of the trip, and then we took her out on the platform so she could get a better look. It is so fun experiencing new things through her eyes. She is so curious and excited about everything! We had a great time, and were sad to see Eric, Eva, and Trevor leave on Sunday. Emily still looks around for them, her captive audience.
