Last Sunday our friends Kim and Ian invited us to go for a hike and some rock climbing (the boys rock climbed, we hiked). It was a beautiful day and an area we had never been to so we had a great time exploring. Emily was so excited to get to see her friend Holden. 
The girls thought they should get to rock climb also.
Emily was concerned with how dirty Holden was getting and decided to help her clean up.
They went hunting for bears. Since then Emily will shout "Mr. Bear, Mr.Bear!" At random times during the day.
"You will love it," Holden kept telling her of the pine cones they found on the ground.
Remember how Emily was concerned with how dirty Holden was? She decided it actually looked like fun and proceeded to "bathe" herself in dirt.
During hikes there is always time to stop and sing a little bit of "The Itsy Bitsy Spider."
She was obsessed with this stick and all we were worried about was who was going to get whacked over the head with it.
