The lights are up, the decorations are out, snow is on the ground, and the baking has begun....all we need is a tree and we are getting that this weekend. This year my Mom came up with a great idea, instead of buying gifts for each other and spending money we probably shouldn't, each individual family is coming up with something special for all of us to do together this holiday season. Ty and I came up with taking everyone downtown to see the festival of lights parade that our city puts on every year. My parents are hosting a gingerbread house making competition and my husband has already drawn up designs. The rest of the events are still surprises which is always fun! I love getting into the holiday spirit and what a better way than spending time with family and friends.
