The Beach
Emily has always loved the water. Baths, pools, rivers, but mostly...the ocean. It is her favorite place. She does not care how cold the water is and has no fear of waves. We joke that when she goes to college she will leave CO just to be near the ocean, and even though it is just kidding right now we both actually fear this is just what she will do. So of course when we were back in SD one of our first stops was her beloved ocean. She spent the whole time dancing in the waves and racing them back to shore. She was a very happy little girl.
Her brother on the other hand does not care for waves that knock you down or ice cold water that tastes like salt and is filled with sea creatures. He was perfectly content back on shore where he could play in the sand and build his sand castle.
