Snow!

This may be the closest we have come to snow for Christmas, and it is our first good snowfall of the year. A storm that was supposed to be practically nothing left us with over 4 inches of snow, and the kids couldn't wait to play in it today. When it warmed up we suited up and headed out.  As I watched them playing I was once again reminded of how different they really are. We head out the front door and Emily (as usual) is the first one out. Troy carefully steps down into the snow, and Emily is already throwing snow into the air.

She immediately begins to make snow angels. Everywhere. Troy just watches her. He has figured out he really likes making footprints in the snow.

Emily then proceeds to dive into the snow. Troy is still making footprints. When he gets stuck in a larger bank of snow it is a problem because he really doesn't want to touch the snow with his hands. Fortunately Mommy is there to help.

At this point Emily decides to start rolling down the hill of snow. And she is really rolling, face smashed in the snow and everything. Troy just watches, and laughs.

Emily then tries to talk Troy into rolling in the snow with her. He thinks about it and puts his hands and knees in the snow, but then decides he would much rather make footprints.

By this time Emily is actually eating the snow, and Troy is ready to go in. He was pretty much dry except for his shoes, and she was muddy and soaked all over.

They are definitely their own little people and I wouldn't change a single thing about either one of them.
