You would think with all of the times we have been to the fire station my kids would be over looking at fire trucks, but they still ask to see them everytime and they still love to climb all over them. The other night, however, they got to do more than just climb on one. The Black Forest Fire Dept. had the very important job of picking up Santa and Mrs. Claus and taking them to the annual tree lighting. Well they needed a few helpers to ride on TOP of the fire truck and Emily and Troy got to help, (along with Mommy and Grandma). It was very cold and dark but these two sat so still and even waved when we passed all of the people waiting at the tree. It was a very important job and both of their first times riding on a fire truck.
Afterwards they got to talk to Santa and tell him what they wanted for Christmas.
Troy was just concerned about getting too close to the strange man in the red suit but Emily was all over it. (It helped that her friend Jules was right there with her). "I want a summer dress and a dancing baby!" She excitedly told Santa.
