Our good friends Stephanie and Alfredo came out to visit this weekend. It was so nice having them here and since they have only ever been in the winter we were looking forward to showing them around in the sunshine. Two rainy/ foggy days made that difficult but we made the best of it. Friday after Ty got home we all went bowling. Emily even played. I think she beat my score. Friday night Steph and I got to go out and the boys babysat. Yay for girls' night! Saturday was so dreary that we stayed inside and watched House reruns most of the day, but Saturday night was when all the fun started. My moo offered to take Emily for her first overnight sleepover so we could go out for my birthday and then sleep in a little in the morning. It was wonderful! We got to be grown-ups and we didn't have to rush through our dinner or color while eating. After dinner we played a little Foosball. Let me just say, the girls creamed the guys the first game, and then it all went downhill after that but I still say we are the better team! After some healthy competition we went to hear some live music. It was a very fun night and I actually stayed up until almost 2 am which hasn't happened in a really LONG time! The next day the sun decided to show up for a little while so we hopped in the car and headed to Boulder. We strolled down Pearl St. listening to all the street performers and looking at the beautiful tulips that were blooming. Emily loved the toy store, and we all loved out cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory. Yum! To kill a little time and let Em run we found a cute little park and played for awhile. Then it was time to take them to the airport. We were sad to see Steph and Fredo go, but so glad they could come to visit!
