Christmas

The holidays passed, of course, in a blur, but we had a great time. My brother Steve came out to visit, but other than that it was just the usual crowd at the table on Christmas night. A nice mixture of family and friends, and lots of great food. Emily kept the crowd entertained with her newly aquired "sliding" skills. One of her favorite gifts this year was a slide/basketball/soccer/football play thing. She is very proud of the fact that she can slide down all by herself, and her and Ty have a great time playing basketball and dunking the ball. Along with the slide Emily scored a few more baby dolls (she is in love with baby dolls). One was handmade by her GiGi and even came with a little cradle. Another popular gift was the little tryke that we got her. She can't quite reach the pedals but that doesn't stop her from jumping on and ringing the bell until one of us comes over and pushes her. She "rides" it back and forth to Grandma's house and thinks she is so cool that she usually only hangs on with one hand which still makes me a little nervous.
