Emily Update

Emily is almost 10 months old and she is growing so fast! Walking is right around the corner, she is standing on her own, but then she is not quite sure what to do so she sits back down, but she is awfully proud of the fact that she is standing for longer and longer. She no longer wants to be fed with a spoon, she would rather eat on her own. As you can see from the pictures this makes for a very messy baby. Especially since blueberries are her favorite snack. We hear "mama" and "dada" quite a bit now. "Baba" sneaks in there along with a partial "uh-oh" and sometimes an "up." She would love for us to be able to understand what she is saying, but it doesn't concern her too much and she just babbles away. She also has a whole little language for speaking to Sara that we haven't figured out yet, but it sure sounds a lot like when her Daddy says, "Sara, outside!" She has mastered opening all of the cabinets in the kitchen, and going up AND down the stairs is an old trick for her. She is still entertaining us with her singing and dancing, and continues to be a bit of a ham. She definitely likes all the attention on her which should make it interesting when her new little cousin arrives in August and she is no longer Grandma's one and only. She is finally getting teeth, and the first little one is poking through. We now have first hand experience to just how fun this whole teething thing can be. Thank goodness for teething tablets and tylenol.
