The Pumpkin Patch

Oh the good 'ol pumpkin patch. We have been on days when it is blazing hot and you are sweating and itchy by the time you are done hunting for that perfect pumpkin. We have been on days when it starts snowing as soon as you get out of the car and you have to use socks for mittens because there was no forecast of snow and this particular freezing fog was a surprise. Most of the time it is just chilly enough for mittens and hats and one hours worth of fun before it is time to jump back in the warm car. But THIS year, THIS pumpkin patch, we went on a Friday evening and it was perfect. The sun was low and casting that beautiful warm glow over the whole process. The temperature was just right. Not too hot but definitely not cold and in Colorado that is not always an easy feat. The pumpkins were found and piled up. Fat ones, skinny ones, small ones and green ones! The final contestants were selected and put in the car and then it was down the hill to the jump rooms and THIS year the giant inflatable hamster balls that the kids got to roll around in. All-in-all it was a huge success!!
