Parent-Teacher Conference

Dear Emily,

On Monday Daddy and I got to go to our very first parent-teacher conference for you. Yes, it is just pre-school but it was still important to us because it was all about you. Your teacher's said wonderful things about you and made Mommy and Daddy so proud and happy, but the thing is we already know you are wonderful and smart and thoughtful. It was knowing that you are the same person at school that you are at home that made us happy. You are you, and we couldn't ask for anything more. They said you sing while you play, and that you radiate happiness from every part of your body. Of course you do, you are Emily. They said you are caring and thoughtful and help others in your class. You are my big helper and take such good care of your brother, so no surprise there. They said you love school and are learning so quickly. We have never, ever doubted that you are a very smart girl. They said you sit quietly during circle time and stay focused on what is happening. Okay...well maybe some things are a little different at school, but it does not surprise us that you have the ability to sit still for longer than 5 seconds at a time, we just don't see it very often. We love you sweet girl and are so, so proud of the person you are. Hopefully every parent-teacher conference will be as easy, but even for the ones that aren't, as long as you are being yourself and doing your best we will be happy parents.

       Love,
           Mommy & Daddy
